Weekly Wisdom #1
When we develop our businesses we tend to want everything to be in order and to be exactly right. We want to get our branding and website right with a powerful message to our ideal client. All of this is very important. Although sometimes it can get in the way of our progression.
But you know what, when you are your own boss, you don't necessarily have to get everything right the first time because YOU can change it. you have autonomy. When it comes to trying to get things exact, sometimes we stop ourselves from moving forward. When you strive for perfectionism, it can be really hard for you to realise that it doesn't have to be right the first time. It can be a test drive.
For example, if you want to provide a new service, want to test drive it and make sure it's right, a good fit for your clients. It's a good idea to make sure that before you mould a programme, that you test it. A test run with a few people enables you to get some feedback and perhaps make some changes.
When I work with my clients, I encourage them to get out there even when their plans are not perfect.
There's nothing wrong with making mistakes. Is that something that you worry about? Nobody knows that it is a mistake, other than you really and nobody is judging you. Yes, sometimes we do worry about what people think and we compare ourselves to others. But we just give ourselves a hard time, we have high expectations of ourselves.
So I wholeheartedly want to encourage you not to worry if it's perfect or not because the perfect will come, you'll crack it, you'll nail it and figure it out, but you won't know until you try. So keep on putting yourself out there, show up, ask questions, ask for feedback, research and you will get it perfect.
You don't have to be a perfectionist in your business. Many times when you show vulnerability, your personality and your authenticity it helps your audience build a connection with you and buy from you!
If you feel you need more encouragement to get started and get out there, just send me a message I am happy to help. Talia@taliazamora.com
